Your restaurant
deserves to start
with a Clean Slate.
A professional, fully owner-operated restaurant cleaning company built for Greater Nashville, from the front door to the back line. So your team can focus on what they do best.
I spend more time getting people to clean than I do actually managing my restaurant.
Sound familiar?
We hear this constantly from Nashville restaurant managers. The problem isn't lazy staff. It's that deep cleaning is a specialized skill your team was never hired or trained to do. Asking line cooks and servers to deep-clean a kitchen at midnight is a recipe for resentment, inconsistency, and real liability.
The Nag Cycle
Managers repeat the same cleaning instructions every shift and it still doesn't get done right. The loop never ends.
Health Code Exposure
Grease buildup, slow drains, missed surfaces. These aren't just aesthetic problems. They're violations waiting to happen.
Staff Resentment
Deep cleaning at end-of-shift kills morale. Your team didn't apply for a janitor position, and the quality of their work reflects that.
Hidden Costs
Failed inspections, equipment damage from grease buildup, manager hours spent supervising cleaning. The real cost adds up.
Inconsistent Results
Cleaning quality varies wildly by who's working and how tired they are. There's no standard. Just whatever gets done before close.
Vendor Overload
Three different companies for floors, dusting, and pressure washing means three invoices, three contacts, and three sets of problems.
under one roof, on one invoice, with one phone call.
A partner, not a vendor.
Restaurant Specialists
We don't clean offices or retail. Every technique, every product, every schedule is built around the specific demands of a restaurant kitchen and dining room. Exclusivity is a feature, not a limit.
Owner on Every Account
Michael is personally involved in every client relationship. You have one contact who knows your space and stands behind every visit. No call centers, no franchise coordinators.
No Upselling. Ever.
Our business model works when you don't need us daily. We have a financial incentive to get your space clean and keep it that way, not to sell you more visits than you need.
Nashville Is Home
We're not a franchise passing through. We live here, eat here, and care about the restaurants that make this city great. Your success is personal to us.
From the front door
to the back line.
We get your space to a level where your team can maintain it between visits. This is our core philosophy, and it saves you money without sacrificing the standard.

What happens between professional cleanings.
Most operators think about cleaning in terms of what's visible. But the real problem builds invisibly. In the grease that accumulates layer by layer on hood filters, in the biofilm that forms in floor drains, in the deep corners of reach-ins that never get wiped down properly. Left unchecked, this becomes a health code violation, an equipment failure, or a guest experience problem.
Weeks 1–2
Surface grime begins accumulating in high-traffic areas. Staff maintenance keeps it manageable.
Weeks 3–4
Grease builds in vents and drains. Odors develop. Equipment begins working harder than it should.
Month 2+
Buildup reaches inspection-risk levels. Equipment lifespan shortens. Odors increase.
With Clean Slate
The gap closes. Professional visits reset the baseline. Your team maintains. The cycle works.
Dirty isn't just a look. It's a liability.
Most operators underestimate what poor cleaning actually costs their business. It rarely shows up as a line item. It shows up as a failed inspection, a broken piece of equipment, or a scathing review.
Health Code Fines
$500 to $10,000+ per violation depending on severity and repeat offenses.
Lost Manager Time
Hours spent supervising staff cleaning is time not spent managing your operation.
Equipment Damage
Grease buildup shortens equipment lifespan and voids manufacturer warranties.
Guest Experience
One dirty restroom or grimy table drives away more revenue than a cleaning schedule costs.
It protects the money you're already making.
Founder & Head of Growth
Built in Nashville.
Built for restaurants.
Clean Slate is a small, owner-operated cleaning company based in Nashville, Tennessee. We specialize exclusively in restaurants. Not offices, not retail, not residential. Just restaurants.
Michael Landolfa got his first job in a restaurant at 13 years old, washing dishes. From there, he worked in and around restaurants for years before starting his own company. Clean Slate originally launched as a residential pressure washing operation. That changed when Michael was bartending and asked his manager if he could pressure-wash the patio and furniture. After that one job, the company changed direction entirely.
Today, by bringing nearly every cleaning service under one umbrella, Clean Slate serves Nashville's restaurant community in a specific and necessary way, as a true partner, not just a vendor.

Answers to the questions we hear most.
No, but that's intentional. Every restaurant is different. We walk your space in person before quoting anything. It takes 20–30 minutes and there's no obligation.
No long-term contracts. We earn your business visit by visit. Most clients stay because the work speaks for itself.
Never. All cleanings are scheduled when your restaurant is empty. Before open, after close, or on your day off. Guests will never see us.
Yes. Products, tools, and equipment are all ours. You don't need to supply a single thing.
Fully licensed and insured. Not a franchise. Never a subcontractor. When you hire Clean Slate, you get Michael and his team.
Call Michael directly. We make it right. No forms, no queue, no runaround.
Ready to hand off the mop?
You've got a restaurant to run. Your team has guests to serve. Let us take cleaning off everyone's plate, and do it better than it's ever been done.
